Vacheron Constantin’s 1921 diagonal-dial cushion design, in 18K white gold with the Hallmark of Geneva.

The Historiques American 1921 reinterprets a Vacheron Constantin model created in 1921 for the American market, and this white gold reference was introduced in 2021 to mark the design’s centenary. The 40x40mm cushion-shaped 18K white gold case measures 8.06mm thick, with the crown set between 1 and 2 o’clock and the dial oriented so the time reads diagonally without turning the wrist. The grained silver-toned dial carries black Arabic numerals, a railway minute track, small seconds at 3 o’clock, and blackened 18K gold open-tipped hour and minute hands. Manual-winding Calibre 4400 AS, certified with the Hallmark of Geneva, runs at 4 Hz with a 65-hour power reserve and is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. This 2021 example is offered with box and papers on its original Vacheron Constantin calfskin strap with white gold ardillon buckle.

Suited to a collector who wants a thin manual-wind dress watch with a documented design history and Geneva-hallmarked finishing, in a shape that stands apart from round-case dress references.
